You will love this maple wheat bread recipe! My husband and son are huge bread eaters.  I can easily go through several loaves of bread each week.  I have been buying bread made by a local bakery at our food coop because most bread in the grocery store contains ingredients I don’t want my family to eat. At almost $6 a loaf, I cannot afford to buy several loaves of local bakery bread a week. As much as I love home baked bread, I simply do not have time to make it by hand. Mixing, kneading, rising, kneading, you get the idea. I just have too many other things to deal with. I received a product for this post. This post contains affiliate links, and I will receive compensation if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

I was recently sent the Hamilton Beach Home Baker Bread Machine as part of their Brand Ambassador program.  Now, I have time to make homemade bread because the bread machine does all the time-consuming steps for me while I work, play in the garden or just enjoy a cup of herbal tea and a good book.

Maple Wheat Bread Recipe

This Maple Wheat Bread recipe is a light wheat bread because it is part all-purpose and part wheat flour.  My husband is very picky about his bread and won’t eat a full wheat bread. This is our compromise.  Since our neighbor sugars our maple trees for us each spring, I try to use maple as my sweetener whenever possible. This is one of my favorite maple syrup bread recipes.

I love how easy the Hamilton Beach Home Baker Bread Machine is to use.  There are different settings for 1.5 and 2.0 pound loaves. There are also settings for gluten free bread which will be a huge help with making Sarah bread.  You can also bake French bread, quick bread, whole grain and sweet bread.  If you like, you can use the bread machine to mix, knead and let the dough rise and then remove the dough to bake in the oven.  You can even use the bread machine to make jam and cake!

For those that like to have warm bread with dinner, you’ll love that this bread machine has a delayed start feature and a keep warm feature. You can start bread in time to enjoy it warm in the morning or for dinner. Another thing I really like about the Hamilton Beach Home Baker Bread Machine is how quiet it is.  The machine makes a soft whirring noise when it is mixing or kneading but other than that and the beeps to let you know what’s going on, I didn’t even hear that it was on.

  1. This looks fantastic! Will be asking for this bread maker for my birthday. I have some old-fashioned bread recipes that I use often but this looks simple and delicious!
  2. This sounds so good!  I made so, SO much homemade bread with my Gram when I was growing up.  That was all by muscle power, but I'd prefer to pick up a new bread machine to replace ours that broke, and try your recipe that way, instead!
  3. Looks yummy and welcoming. There's nothing like a fresh loaf of bread to make you feel at home. I bet the maple syrup tastes wonderful and adds a touch of sweetness!   I can taste it now!
  4. i've never made bread yet, but i think i'm going to give it a try. its just so costly to buy organic bread. i don't have a bread machine though, so i'm going to have to go the old fashioned route.
  5. GF options in a bread machine is huge! I usually make honey wheat bread but maple wheat makes sense in your neck of the woods. It sounds delicious and I will have to give it a try. Thank Ellen!
  6. Maple wheat sounds like such a delicious combo for bread. I love a bread with tons of seeds, but no one else in my family will eat it. They just don't know what's good!
  7. I LOVE my bread machine.  I actually bought it for my fiance for Christmas a couple of years ago.  He asked for it!  I'm the one that gets to bake the bread though!  lol  So far, I have only made traditional white bread, but I'd really like to experiment with some different kinds soon.  This bread sounds great!
  8. Looks delicious, we have a bread maker, I have had it for 10 years and still have never used it! Your recipe makes me want to pull it out and make bread!
  9. That looks so wonderful, Ellen. It looks so easy to make with a bread machine. I might have to get one of those. I used to make sourdough rolls many years ago, but need to get a new starter.
  10. Those machines are great. My dad uses one and I have to admit, he makes a pretty mean loaf of bread. I'm a bit of a bread junkie my baby book it was written that my favorite whole food was toast. 40 years later, toast may not be my fav. but it's still up there. I think it's really cool idea to go with Whole Wheat and use the Maple for extra flavor. However, I didn't see the ratio for Maple Syrup in the recipe...would it be the same amount as the white sugar of a normal bread recipe?
