Have you ever thought about easy ways to decorate your bathroom for the holidays? No, I’m not talking about putting up a Christmas tree next to the tub. But, if you’re entertaining over the holidays, it might be fun to think about Christmas bathroom decor ideas.

Decorate your Bathroom for the Holidays
How many Christmas decorations you can easily use in your bathroom will really depend on how large it is. If you have a tiny bathroom, you may only be able to add a few seasonal decorations and a candle or two. If you have a larger bathroom with a laundry room, you can certainly add much more.
Christmas bathroom decor ideas
I don’t have a lot of room in the bathroom to add decorations and I don’t really want to add anything that will be damaged by water or stream. But, I did want to do something a little different for Chrismas. So, I’ve come up with a few easy ways to decorate your bathroom for the holidays.
Christmas bath towels
Add a basket of colored washcloths to the back of the toilet or on the sink. You can use red, white and green for Christmas. Or, you can use red, gold, and green if you prefer. If you have a rack to hang your towels on, why not use towels with a pretty Christmas design.
Holiday-themed bathroom decor
Of course, there is a lot of holiday-themed bathroom decor available that’s made specifically for that room. Why not get a Christmas shower curtain. If you prefer elegant Christmas bathroom decor, this shower curtain is perfect with silver and red. Or, if you like country Christmas bathroom decor, I love the country scene on this shower curtain.
Christmas decorations
A scented votive candle in a decorative candle holder takes up very little room in the bathroom. Or, try a wax warmer with scented wax cubes. Peppermint or balsam are wonderful holiday scents. Or, if you’re worried about a live flame, this flameless LED candle is perfect.
You can always add a seasonal tissue box cover and a cup as well. They even have festive bathroom rugs for Christmas if you want to go all out.
No waste ways to decorate your bathroom
If you have a green thumb, consider setting a poinsettia on a windowsill or countertop. If you have pets, choose a different way to decorate your bathroom for the holidays. Poinsettias are poisonous to cats and dogs.
If you don’t have good luck with living things, you can lay a few pine boughs along the windowsill instead. The steam from the shower or bath will help keep the needles hydrated so they should last through the whole holiday season.
DIYs to decorate your bathroom
If you’re crafty, there is no reason why you can’t make a few simple projects to decorate your bathroom. Consider a jar of bath salts with red or green dye. Then, you can use the bath salts in the tub after the holidays are over. Just be sure to use soap dye so that you don’t dye your skin red while you’re using them. You can use this homemade bath salts tutorial as the first step.
Or, you could take a few red or green bath bombs and put them in a small wicker basket. Or, use a white bath bomb and put it in a red basket. The color will match your holiday decor. And, they are useful items that can be used up once the holidays are over.
If you have Mason jars on hand, this easy craft would be perfect for the holidays. Why not paint Mason jars in a Christmas color and use them to store your cotton swabs, cotton balls, and toothbrushes? Check out this post for the directions. I love the way it turned out.
Consider adding a holiday wreath on the wall. Be certain that the materials won’t be damaged from steam from the shower. There are so many ways to decorate your bathroom!
