Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie Recipe

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

One of my weaknesses is cheesecake. I don’t need it all fancy. Just give me a slice of cheesecake with some fresh strawberries on top and I’m happy.

One of the challenges I face with making cheesecake for the family is the crust. Graham crackers are definitely not gluten-free and any of the grain-free crust recipes have always involved too many complicated steps to make me interested in trying them.

My solution to this problem is this Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie that has all the yummy taste of a slice of cheesecake without any of the gluten. You can really be flexible with this recipe. If you want something that is not dairy-based, substitute vegan cream cheese and soy or almond yogurt and milk.

2 pints of fresh strawberries in the hay

Smoothie variations

If you want something low fat, choose low-fat yogurt, milk, and cream cheese. I go with the full-fat choices in my smoothie.

You can substitute another type of berry (blueberry, raspberry, etc.) or even another type of fruit (peach, mango, pineapple).

Or, you could make a vanilla cheesecake smoothie by leaving the fruit out. Just go with whatever sounds delicious to you at the time.

Low carb cheesecake smoothie

To keep the strawberry cheesecake smoothie low carb, you will want to make sure that you don’t add any extra sugar. You shouldn’t need any since the strawberries will be nice and sweet. but if you feel you need to, you can add stevia to the smoothie.

  9. This looks delicious!  I love strawberry cheesecake too, and this looks like a great way to get the flavor without the gluten and with fewer calories.  My daughter just had her wisdom teeth out and I am going to make this for lunch for her, since she won’t be eating cake today!

  10. Looks delicious!  This would be amazing with fresh, ripe strawberries… or maybe some I tucked away this summer in season.  I like the addition of just a little cream cheese for that decadent flavor.
