You’ll want to leave time in your schedule for a few of these National Strawberry Month activities. Did you know that May was National Strawberry Month? Even though strawberries aren’t ripe here in Vermont in May, we still get excited because we know they will be soon.

National Strawberry Month Activities
Strawberries ripen at different times throughout the country so which activities you’ll be able to enjoy in May will really depend a lot on where you live.
Even if you’re in the northern part of the country, there are still activities you can enjoy.
Strawberry picking
If you are in an area where strawberries are ripe during the month of May, one of the best ways to celebrate is by going strawberry picking. Check at your local farmer’s markets to find out which farms are open for business and when.
This product presentation was made with AAWP plugin.
Strawberry crafts
If you have younger children, there are lots of different strawberry crafts you can do with them. How about making this cute doily strawberry card or this cute egg carton strawberry.
Older kids might enjoy making this strawberry scented playdough.
Strawberry recipes
There are a number of delicious strawberry recipes you can try like my Strawberry Butter or my Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie. Or, you may want to try some strawberry rhubarb sauce.
Plant strawberries
Do you love gardening or would you like to get started? Learn to grow your own strawberries and you’ll be able to enjoy fresh berries for years to come.
This mini strawberry growing kit is an easy way to get started. Plus, it’s on sale on Amazon.
Treat yourself
If gardening and strawberry picking aren’t your thing, treat yourself to some strawberry goodies this month instead. I recommend the Fiordifrutta Organic Fruit Spread made with strawberries and wild strawberries.
No matter how you decide to celebrate National Strawberry Month, I hope you’ll have a delicious time!

I’m in Northwest New Jersey and we have to wait until June for the strawberries to start. I can’t wait. They are the best!
Ours ripen in June in Vermont too!
They have The California Strawberry Festival next month, about an hour away from me in Oxnard, CA. They have tons of activities to do and see and raise millions for charities, so it’s a big deal. I love the Egg Carton Strawberry craft and have one carton I saved for crafts like this. It looks super easy and pinned the activity to make soon. Thanks!
That sounds like loads of fun, Deb.
