Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil

Besides smelling absolutely wonderful, cinnamon essential oil has many uses and benefits. Cinnamomum zeylanicum is the official name for this EO.

You may also see cinnamon bark essential oil. Cinnamon bark oil is technically Cinnamomum Verum.

And, to make things a bit more complicated, you will see plain cinnamon and Cassia cinnamon. Cassia cinnamon is the type you find at the grocery store. It tends to be stronger but not as high a quality.

Ceylon is the “true” cinnamon and is much higher quality than Cassia. While all of these different essential oils come from the same family, they are not completely identical.
