Check out these must-have healthy kitchen appliances that can help you cook healthier meals. It’s been a few years or so now since I started on my journey toward living a more healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Kitchen Appliances
Where I used to rely on quickly prepared foods and fast food, I now focus on food that’s healthy AND easy to make. I still don’t have any more time in the kitchen than I did when I had unhealthy eating habits. Planning ahead lets me eat healthy even on nights that I’m pressed for time. There are a lot of meal choices that are healthy that don’t need two hours of preparation.
Heavy-Duty Juicer
I’ll admit that I don’t eat anywhere near as many vegetables as I should each day. I really do try but I would rather eat fruit most of the time. Plus, there are some vegetables I should eat that I really don’t like – like kale. I hate kale but I will drink it if I juice it with other fruits and vegetables.
A juicer is a wonderful way to get nutrition when you’d prefer not to eat extra fruits and vegetables. It really is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets when it comes to healthy kitchen appliances.
Slow Cooker
One of the biggest stumbling blocks I had to making healthy choices for dinner was a lack of time. After working 10 hours a day, I just did not want to start at the beginning when I was making dinner.
Starting something in my slow cooker in the morning meant I could have a hot, healthy meal ready for dinner after work. I love my Ninja 3 in 1 Cooking System because it’s not only a slow cooker but can also be used to roast, sear and even bake!
Food Processor
Healthy eating for me means eating more fruits and vegetables. While I sometimes sit down with a whole carrot, more often than not, I am chopping it to go with something else. I also eat a lot more stir fry and that means chopping a lot of fresh vegetables. While I could do it by hand, it takes too much time.
Instead, I toss it all in my food processor and in a few seconds, everything is chopped or diced. I recommend the Cuisinart 12-Cup Food Processor because it has nesting bowls of different sizes and adjustable slicing and reversible shredding discs. This is the one healthy kitchen appliance that saves the most time.
Immersion Blender
I eat a lot of salads and I do enjoy salad dressing on them at times. Most of the salad dressings in the store contain ingredients I don’t want to eat. The solution is to make my own. An immersion blender allows you to make your own mayonnaise and salad dressings. It’s also great for blending soups and making your own baby food. When it comes to appliances for a healthy kitchen, this has lots of uses.
Pressure Cooker
Unlike a slow cooker that takes all day to cook, a pressure cooker can have a healthy meal on the table in less than an hour. When you’re pressed for time, you can have dinner on the table quickly even if you’re starting with a frozen piece of meat.
I have had an amazing pot roast on the table in 45 minutes before. It’s a huge time saver and has lots of different uses. When it comes to healthy kitchen appliances, this is a must-have.
Air fryer
My husband loves fried food. And, rather than have him head out to buy fast food, I can have his favorites on the table using an air fryer. It tastes just like his favorites without using a lot of unhealthy oil to fry things. This is definitely on his list of must-have healthy kitchen appliances. It’s family-sized and large enough to feed the entire family.
What I keep in the kitchen has changed a bit since I started paying attention to what I eat. My most used kitchen appliance use to be my microwave. It was great for heating up those “healthy” frozen dinners I thought were a good choice. Now, I have a different set of appliances for a healthy kitchen and these are the ones I use the most.
Other healthy kitchen appliances
There are other appliances for a healthy kitchen that I use like my yogurt maker and my sprouting jar but the ones I’ve listed above are the ones I use most often.
