Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Arkansas

Last Updated on November 10, 2022 by Ellen Christian

When I was in Arkansas last month, I visited Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art opened in 2011 and features more than 450 American masterworks from Colonial times to the present day. There are twelves galleries in four separate buildings.  There are also more than three miles of walking trails that feature outdoor sculptures and naturally landscaped areas. Admission is free to everyone.

Crystal Bridges is open Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm and Wednesday and Friday from 11am to 9pm. The Muscium is closed on Tuesdays. The Museum offers regular tours but I enjoyed simply wandering through the museum on my own.

  1. My daughter is an artist so we have visited lots of great museums in NYC.  The pictures are terrific and I am sure a great time was had.

  2. How wonderful to see such historical works of art!  I love Norman Rockwell and would really like to see some of his work up close and personal.  I wish we had a museum like that near here.
