We like to have a few different desserts for people to choose from after the big meal is over.  Since not everyone is a huge fan of pie, we try to include a few other options like this yummy dip recipe.

One reason that I really love serving a dip recipe is that it’s so versatile. When you serve this cream cheese pumpkin dip recipe, you can serve it with apple slices, pretzels, biscotti, or these fun O Organics® Chocolate Animal Cookies.

Cream cheese pumpkin dip without Cool Whip

So, you will notice that I make this cream cheese pumpkin dip without Cool Whip. I am not a big fan of whipped toppings. And, I much prefer the way the cream cheese flavors this pumpkin dip recipe.

Now, you can go as heavy or as light on the chocolate chips as you want to. My husband has a huge sweet tooth so the chocolate chips are a must for him. I use the whole cup full when I’m making it for him to enjoy. If it’s me and the kids, I use a little bit less. If you want to, you can completely leave out the chocolate chips. It’s not necessary if you want to watch your sugar levels. You can also cut down the sugar amount if you prefer.

No matter what you use to dip, you’ll want to serve this with a big cup of O Organics® Medium Roast Guatemalan coffee. I love this stuff! It’s USDA organic, fair trade certified and non-GMO.

It’s 100% delicious arabica coffee.

I love shopping at Shaws because I can save money with the MyMixx app on my phone. Make sure you check there when you’re shopping for ingredients for this cream cheese pumpkin dip.

Recipe variations

Note: For a lower fat version of this cream cheese pumpkin dip, you can use low or fat-free cream cheese. The taste is the same! And, you can also create this recipe using your favorite dairy-free cream cheese.

I know that we have a soy variety in our grocery store. My daughter uses it occasionally since she is latose intolerant. It really does taste similar and it’s nice to offer guests the option if they have food intolerances or allergies.

  1. The chocolate animal crackers at Trader Joe’s used to be my fave. I have a free digital coupon for cream cheese at Krogers too, so I see this recipe coming in handy very soon!
