Cottage Cheese Power Bowl
A power bowl is a filling dish that is made with a variety of healthy foods. You may have also heard power bowls called Buddha bowls or glory bowls depending on what they contain.
In the past, I’ve made a cottage cheese power bowl with tropical fruit that was a huge hit, so I decided to experiment a bit with other flavors. My family loved this citrus power bowl too. I enjoy entree power bowls like my tuna power bowl, but I wanted something that I could enjoy for breakfast this time.
I decided to put together a few of my favorite foods and came up with a Chocolate, Avocado and Banana Power Bowl. You may also like my Avocado Egg Toast Sandwich Recipe.
This power bowl is a great make-ahead breakfast idea. I just place the ingredients in a bowl, cover it, and store it in the refrigerator the night before. Then, on mornings when I am rushed, I can just take the cottage cheese power bowl out of the refrigerator and enjoy.
I love that Hood Cottage Cheese is available in a number of different flavors. In the past, the Hood Cottage Cheese with Pineapple Added has been my all-time favorite. But, after trying the Hood Cottage Cheese with Maple and Vanilla Flavor Added, I might just be changing my favorite. You’ll have to try them all and make up your own mind.
Where to Buy
I found Hood Cottage Cheese at my local Shaws Supermarket but make sure to check the grocery stores in your area. Hood Cottage Cheese is available in a number of different flavors including:
- Cucumber & Dill
- Chive
- Pineapple
- Honey & Pear
- Maple & Vanilla
- Garden Vegetables

Oh my goodness, yummy yum yum! I LOVE every single thing mentioned in this recipe so I KNOW I would love it!
I also love that it’s high protein and healthy fats too.
Thanks, Yvonne!
I absolutely love cottage cheese and have been eating a lot of it lately since it’s quick and has been on sale. I like my cottage cheese with veggies rather than fruit though, but the avocado looks great too. I love all the ingredients here though and have used cocoa powder if I don’t have chocolate (the NOW brand dutch cocoa powder is great). These bowls would be good for the triple-digit temps this weekend!
I’ll have to try it with cocoa powder next time!
