Why I take glucosamine every day

Why I Take Glucosamine Every Day

For me, a healthy lifestyle includes being active every day. I don’t run marathons or participate in kickboxing championships. I walk, stretch, do yoga, ride my stationary bike and try to move every chance I can. As I get older, I notice it’s not as easy to keep moving as I normally would. Sometimes that makes me less motivated to live an active lifestyle.

Like most women, I wear a lot of different hats. I’m a mom, wife, employee, business owner, friend, and chief cook/bottle washer. Most days, I love the variety but every now and then I just don’t feel up to accomplishing everything that needs to be done. Some days, I just don’t feel one hundred percent when I wake up. Maybe I slept wrong or I just pushed myself a little bit too hard the day before. I guess that’s just part of aging and being a busy mom. I don’t have time to stop and slow down. Most days, I need to keep moving which is why I’ve started taking glucosamine.

Glucosamine is a supplement that supports healthy movement which means that it supports me staying active whether that’s walking every morning, carrying groceries in from the car or playing Pokémon Go with the kids. Taking a supplement every morning is an easy way to live a healthier life. I make it a part of my routine. Just like making my bed when I get up and filling my water bottle. I get in the habit of doing it each day and it becomes second nature.

Wellesse® Joint Movement Glucosamine® from Nature’s Way® is an easy-to-absorb liquid glucosamine supplement that comes in an Extra Strength formula with 2000 mg Glucosamine, 1200 mg Chondroitin, 500 mg MSM and 10 mg Hyaluronic Acid with Vitamin D3 to help promote healthy bones and muscle function.*

I was excited to hear that Nature’s Way® offers Glucosamine as they are a company with a long history of innovation and quality. Joint Movement Glucosamine comes in an easy-to-swallow liquid that is berry flavored. You can take it as is or you can mix it with juice if you prefer. I found the taste to be pleasant, so I took it as is. It does not need to be refrigerated after opening so I can keep it with my other supplements so I remember to take it each day. The serving size is just 1 oz. for a daily dose (dosage cup included). There are 2,000 mg of Glucosamine in Joint Movement which is 33% more than the leading liquid competitor.

I like knowing that it is shellfish free, gluten-free and sugar-free because that means that I don’t have to worry about allergies or food sensitivities. Many glucosamine supplements are made from shellfish, so this can be a real issue for some people. Fortunately, the glucosamine in Joint Movement Glucosamine comes from a vegetarian source.

  1. I have never heard of this product. I like that it is shellfish free, gluten-free and sugar-free ! I need to try out this product and see if it can help with my knee pain.
  2. I like the glucosamine supplement but want something that's not sweetened with Sucralose. I've banned all sugar substitutes but stevia from my eating and think my gut is better for it. My gut problems win over my joint, muscle and bone problems, lol but I bet glucosamine would really help me move with a little more ease. My yoga practice is my mainstay for my joints though--a real life saver--physically and mentally.
