How to Use CBD Oil Drops

If you’re new to hemp CBD oil and are wondering what exactly it is, hemp is one of the earliest known domesticated plants, cultivated by civilizations for approximately 12,000 years. Agricultural or industrial hemp grows differently than THC-containing cannabis and looks similar to bamboo.

Cannabidiol (or CBD) is the second most prominent compound found in the hemp plant. Industrial hemp (which is where hemp CBD oil comes from) keeps you healthy and doesn’t get you “high.”

CBD oil drops are an easy way to take CBD oil with no pills to swallow. The amount of CBD Oil you take will vary so you’ll need to start with the smallest amount and adjust as needed. Most people end up taking around 5-50mg of CBD per dose, usually 2x per day but it’s important that you figure out what works best for you.

The best way to take CBD Oil drops is sublingually (under your tongue) because they will enter your bloodstream faster this way. I use the peppermint flavored CBD oil drops to make them taste better. It’s recommended that you take the drops with a meal that has some healthy fats. Just hold the drops under your tongue for 60 seconds prior to swallowing.

Use CBD Oil Drops with Healthy Fats

Why do you need to take them with healthy fat? CBD is absorbed both sublingually (holding under your tongue increases absorption), and further down your GI tract (the fat helps your body absorb more).

How long does it take CBD Oil to work?

If you take the CBD oil drops on an empty stomach with no meal, it will take about an hour for you to feel the effects and the effects will not last as long. When you take them with a healthy meal, your body will absorb more CBD and it will last longer and you should feel the effects in two to three hours.

There are a variety of healthy fats that you can take your CBD oil with. Try taking them in the morning along with some full-fat Greek yogurt. Remember, you want to take them with fat so avoid the low-fat or non-fat products for this reason.

If you want to take them with lunch or dinner, try a garden salad topped with sliced avocado or a big bowl of guacamole and salsa to dip tortilla chips in.

  1. I will have to tell my twenty nine year old daughter about this product. She suffers with anxiety real bad too, and those wack-a-do doctors have her on a ton of medications. Way to many of them I think. This posting is very informational.
