Tropical Ham & Swiss Sliders Recipe with King's Hawaiian

King’s Hawaiian Ham and Swiss Sliders

Summer is a super busy time for me.  The kids always seem to need to go somewhere or there is yard work to do or we’ve headed out for a day trip to enjoy the beautiful weather.  Not everyone in the family has the same schedule for dinner time.

Sarah works in the evenings at a grocery store so she’ll eat later on after work.  David has track or works out at the gym and often eats after he comes home.  Marty and I tend to stick to our 6:30PM dinner time.  I like to choose meals that can be easily made or assembled at different times of the day.

I recently made these Tropical Ham & Swiss Sliders using King’s Hawaiian buns and they were a huge hit at dinner time. This is definitely one of my favorite new recipes.

While we enjoyed these for dinner, you can also make them a star at your tailgating party. These trays are perfect for serving tailgating food.

How do you keep sliders from getting soggy?

If you’re serving these Kings Hawaiian Ham and Swiss Sliders for a party, make sure that you assemble them right before you’re serving them. You may also want to try toasting the rolls before you put them together.

Can I freeze sliders?

Yes, you can assemble these and freeze them but they won’t be as good as if you made them fresh. Allow at least two hours for them to defrost. You may want to heat them briefly in the oven before serving if you do freeze them.

To reheat them, place them in a 375F oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
