I’m always looking for quick healthy lunch recipes. Since I work at home, I don’t want to take a long break to make and eat lunch. I want something that is quick but also healthy. Normally, I choose one of two things for lunch. I either make a sandwich or I make a salad. Some days, I get a bit tired of eating the same things for lunch. Often when this happens, I turn to fast food for something different. This has definitely got to stop so I’ve been searching for quick healthy lunch recipes that are a little bit different.

When I found this recipe for Honeyed Figs On Warm Pita in the book Honey Crafting, I knew this was definitely one of the latest quick healthy lunch recipes I needed to try.
Quick Healthy Lunch Recipes

Honey Crafting says that this recipe is a traditional breakfast in the Middle East because the thick consistency of the honey pairs perfectly with the juicy pulp of figs. I agree that they make a great combination and this made a fantastic light lunch on a day I wanted something different than the traditional quick healthy lunch recipes I usually choose.

I do enjoy figs and always eat them plain. But this definitely looks like an interesting and delicious recipe to try!
