Start Your Morning with Granola Goodness

One of my favorite high-energy breakfasts is granola — not just because it’s delicious, but because it’s packed with nutrients your body loves. If you haven’t thought of granola as a healthy choice before, it’s time to change that!

Granola is typically made with oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits — ingredients full of fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants that help keep you energized throughout the day. I love pairing mine with skim milk or non-fat yogurt, and on chilly mornings, I’ll even warm the milk first for a cozy, comforting breakfast.

Why Granola Deserves a Spot on Your Table

Because granola is made with whole-grain oats, it’s naturally rich in fiber, which can:

Support healthy digestion

Help lower cholesterol

Contribute to heart health

Keep you feeling full longer

And when granola is made with ingredients like walnuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds, it also delivers a boost of Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that supports your immune system and overall wellness.

Cherry Apple Granola Pizza with Vanilla Drizzle

Ingredients

For the crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 ¼ tsp rapid-rise yeast

2 tbsp sugar

¾ tsp salt

⅔ cup warm water (120–130°F)

3 tbsp melted butter

For the topping:

1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp brown sugar

⅓ cup dried cherries

⅔ cup Ginger Snap Granola

For the vanilla drizzle:

1 cup powdered sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract

1–2 tbsp milk

sweet pizza dough

Instructions

Step 1 — Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir in warm water and 3 tbsp melted butter. Mix until smooth.

Step 2 — Form the crust:
Gradually add the remaining flour until you have a soft, slightly sticky dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 4 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Step 3 — Prep the filling:
In a small saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter and stir in brown sugar and dried cherries. Bring to a boil, let it boil for 1 minute, and mix this with the apple pie filling.

Step 4 — Assemble the pizza:
Press the dough into a well-greased pizza pan and gently pinch the edges to form a crust. Spread the apple-cherry filling evenly over the dough.

Step 5 — Bake and add granola:
Bake at 450°F for 6 minutes. Remove, sprinkle generously with Ginger Snap Granola, and bake another 6–9 minutes until the crust is golden and the granola is slightly toasted.

Step 6 — Add the drizzle:
Let the pizza cool for 5 minutes. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk in a small bowl, then drizzle over the top. Slice and enjoy!

You need to come up with a frozen version of your pizza! I hardly ever make time to cook these days, unfortunately.
