Did you know that a lot of the spice blends you buy in the store have hidden ingredients in them that you don’t really need like additives, anti-caking agents or MSG? I know that it’s easier to start with a spice blend rather than adding 12 different ingredients when you’re cooking but I don’t want to use a blend if they have unhealthy mystery ingredients. Thankfully, you can make your own Italian herb spice blend and lots of other spice blends yourself.

Make Your Own Italian Herb Spice Blend
I have been slowly replacing all of the spices and herbs I have with their organic alternatives. I was really shocked when I learned about what some companies add into your spices and herbs that you really don’t need. They do it to make them last longer and sometimes so they can make the spice blend cheaper. This is super easy to make and you can store it in your own glass jar to add to Italian chicken, spaghetti sauce, pizza, omelettes, etc. I also like to add a tablespoon when I make my own meatballs.

I really like the Simply Organics brand of spices so when I saw on my MyMixx app that they were on sale at Shaw’s Market, I knew it was the perfect time to pick up a few more to replace what I was out of. MyMixx is a new personalized savings app from Shaw’s Markets that you can download to your phone to clip digital coupons. It’s really easy to use. You just redeem the coupons at the register using your phone number. You can make shopping lists and even get digital receipts by text or email by using MyMixx. I love that I am finding savings on so many health products.
MyMixx is a great way for me to save time and money finding what I need each week when I shop. I’m so glad I checked it so I could make more of this Italian herb spice blend at the best price.
