Do you love General Mills Chex Mix? I love to have people over for a party or get together but I don’t have hours and hours to spend in the kitchen preparing snacks and food. While I do make several homemade options, I fill in with store prepared snacks as a time saver. The product was provided. It’s Party Time with General Mills Chex Mix
Chex Mix Snacks are great to serve and eat when people are having fun which makes them the perfect choice for Game Day! Last night was our big Homecoming football game at our local high school. Tonight is the homecoming dance which makes this entire weekend one big blur of parties and celebrations. It also makes this weekend very busy!
I have always relied on Chex Mix for some serious game-worthy snacks so when I had the chance to host a My Get Together party on behalf on Chex Mix, I was thrilled. We received three bags of Chex Mix: Honey Nut, Traditional, and Turtle.
I decided to dress up the Honey Nut Chex Mix and added some dried apples and some soft, chewy caramels. Nothing says fall like apples and caramel! If I’d had some, I could have also tossed in some chocolate chips too! Yummy! While I often make Chex Mix from scratch, on a hectic weekend like this, I am very thankful to be able to grab a bag to open up!

Did you know that Chex Mix has 50% less fat than potato chips? Whoo Hoo! Healthy snacks on the way! Just set out a plate of carrot and celery sticks along with it and you’re good to go. Did you know that a recipe for the original Chex Party Mix first appeared in 1953 on the side of the Chex cereal box and is still a family favorite!
Did you know there are 13 flavors of Chex Mix?
* Bold Party Blend
* Sour Cream & Onion
* Peanut Lovers
* Hot & Spicy
* Dark Chocolate
* Peanut Butter
* Honey Nut
* Trail Mix
* Caramel Crunch
I haven’t had a chance to try most of them but of the ones I have tried, the Turtle flavor is my favorite! Chocolate Turtle has peanuts, candy-coated pieces, popcorn and of course yummy Chex Mix! Everyone loved the varieties of General Mills Chex Mix we had to share. We served them in little football themed muffin papers to save on dishes to wash and it was a big hit.
