Have you ever wondered how to find balance in your life when you’re too busy? When I think of balance, I think of yoga and meditating and long walks in the woods while I commune with nature. While that would be great, I don’t often have huge chunks of time to devote to peace, quiet and reflection. Instead, I find myself grabbing little moments in between all of the things that I need to do. This post was sponsored by Nature Made as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

How to Find Balance in Your Life When You’re Too Busy
Balance means different things to different people. When I hear the word balance, I think of reaching my goals without being stressed. I have different goals in different areas of my life. I have financial goals for my job. I have health goals. I have relationship goals. Achieving all of these things without driving myself crazy takes balance. My husband and kids motivate me to be the best I can be without losing that balance. If you’re still wondering how to find balance in your life, here are a few tips that I follow.
Set Limits
It’s important that you set limits, so no one area of your day becomes overwhelming. It’s not possible for you to be a superwoman in every aspect of your life. If you know you have a deadline at work on Monday, don’t plan a 5-mile run that night. Instead, opt for a quick yoga or kettlebell session at home on your busiest days.
Accept Help
There is nothing wrong with asking for help or accepting it when it’s offered. Enlist the kids’ help with housework or meal preparation if they’re old enough. Hire a housekeeper during your busiest time of the year. Ask your best friend to exercise with you to keep you motivated.
Small Changes
Instead of trying to revamp your life all at once, make small changes. If you have a diet filled with processed foods and sugar, it’s doubtful that overnight you’ll switch to a Paleo diet without struggling. Instead, cut out sugary sweet snacks in between meals and try a few new, healthy recipes at dinner. Make it a goal to drink more water.
Self-Care
No matter how busy you are, don’t forget the importance of self-care. Take time to unwind at the end of the day. Try to eat healthy foods and move each day, even if it’s only a 15-minute walk up the road. Remember to support your immune system by taking your vitamins and supplements. I’ve been taking Nature Made® Immune Health: Vitamin C Softgels to support a balanced, active lifestyle. I found them on Amazon but you can find them in grocery, retail and drug stores everywhere.
I trust Nature Made® vitamins because they are a #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand and use only quality ingredients in their vitamins and supplements.

I have been making it a priority to get out in the sunshine (to make that vitamin D for free!) and walk for 30 minutes a day. I did great in January, not so much in February and now perfect adherence in March so far. I’m hoping it becomes habit, like my yoga and dancing. The other major change so far this year is listening to soothing and motivating classical music, instead of the country and Christian music I usually played. I became a fan and collector of the music back in the 90s and don’t know why I ever stopped although I do love Christian and country still. Classical music speaks to my soul and helps me find that balance!
You’re doing great, Deb! I tend to choose music that wakes me up more often but I should try music to relax with.
I am terrible at balancing my own self needs with all my commitments. I am constantly dehydrated, and that’s bad for many aspects of one’s system. I also need to work on stress control- time to start yoga again!
It really is a challenge some days!
Accept (or Expect) help is the biggest one. Don’t be the Henny Penny and do it all. THat really helps with balance. Nature Made is my favorite vitamin brand as well.
It’s so hard for me to take help when it’s offered, Shelley!
Great ideas. I exercise five days a week and went back to weight watchers to get my food problem under control. I also take a multi-vitamin and Vit. D supplement in the winter.
That’s fantastic, Andrea!
I am beyond thrilled that the snow is melting so I can get back outside and in the woods again. It’s so peaceful to walk in the forest. I love Nature Made but I’m a gummy girl ’cause I have the world’s worst time swallowing pills.
I do OK with softgels but tablets I have an awful time with!
I have been adding exercise back in as I try to find more balance in my life. I take daily vitamins and Nature Made is a great brand.
I agree! That’s a great place to get started.
