The simple Cinnamon Rasin Bread Pudding is an alternative to breakfast and dessert and is the most delicious recipe ever made. It’s a super easy recipe with very little equipment needed.
This quick and easy recipe is a delicious dessert the whole family will love. Perfect for a holiday or when company comes to dinner.
What is bread pudding?
Bread pudding is a dessert made with day-old or stale bread that is soaked in milk, eggs, spices, and sugar. Some recipes call for raisins or dried fruit to be added while others like this delicious bread pudding recipe call for cinnamon.
Do I need to make bread cubes?
Bread cubes are not required for this bread pudding recipe. You can tear the bread into one-inch pieces to make this bread pudding recipe or you can cut the bread into cubes if you like.
You can easily make bread cubes by cutting the bread into one-inch slices and cutting the slices into cubes.
Can I use cinnamon raisin bread?
Yes, cinnamon raisin bread can be used for this bread pudding. You may want to reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe because cinnamon raisin bread is sweeter than traditional white bread.

Equipment needed
This bread pudding is a very easy recipe. So, you don’t need a lot of specialized equipment.
- Casserole dish
- Medium mixing bowl
- Plastic wrap
- Aluminum foil
- Whisk
If you don’t have a medium bowl, you can use a large bowl. It just needs to be big enough to hold all of the cubed bread as you prepare it.
Ingredients for bread pudding
You need just a few ingredients to make bread pudding and it’s absolutely delicious.
- 6 cups french bread pieces, cubed
- ½ cup raisins
- 6 eggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or maple syrup
- 3 cups heavy cream or milk
Cooking time: 60 minutes
How to make bread pudding
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the bread in the casserole dish. Evenly spread the raisins across the bread, allowing some to fall to the bottom.
- Whisk together the remaining ingredients until completely blended. Pour egg mixture over the bread.
- Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and allow the casserole to rest on the counter for 30 minutes.
- Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes covered. Remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve as is or with real whipped cream, ice cream, and/or sauce.
Proper storage
When bread pudding has been baked, place it in the fridge for a maximum of 3 days. Then cover an open casserole dish with foil and put it in a 350-F oven or microwave in the microwave to reheat it.
You should store leftovers in the refrigerator in sealed containers.
