Are You Getting All Your Vitamins From Food?

Last Updated on September 4, 2020 by Ellen Christian

Are you getting all your vitamins from food? I know, that’s the goal, right? Follow the food pyramid and we should be getting 100% of everything from what we eat every day. But, are we? I know I’m not. I try really hard to eat healthy foods and make good choices when I plan our meals; but, things happen. I am participating in a sponsored campaign hosted by Centrum®. I received compensation for this post. While all opinions stated are my own, I make no claims about Centrum® as a product or its effectiveness. #CentrumVitamins #ad

Are You Getting All Your Vitamins From Food?

I know I can’t be the only one that has those days. Sometimes it’s the fact that I forgot to take out the chicken breasts I planned on making for dinner. Sometimes it’s an emergency trip to the doctor’s office with one of the kids that means I don’t have time to make the dinner I planned on making. Sometimes, it’s just a high stress day that results in too much coffee and not enough healthy food.

If you feel that way too, you’re not alone. Did you know that a recent survey from Prevention and Centrum® finds that although more than 75 percent of Americans believe it is fairly easy to get recommended daily values of vitamins and minerals by eating a healthy, balanced diet, nearly half of those polled are concerned they may not be getting enough of one or more key nutrients. Nine out 10 Americans fall short in getting essential nutrients from food alone.

That means that it really is important to take a multi-vitamin every day to get all of the nutrients you need.  When taking a multi-vitamin, I prefer a gummy. They are a lot easier for me to swallow than a tablet. The new Centrum® MultiGummies were created to provide a great-tasting, easy-to-take option with a formula of key nutrients to help support energy, immunity and metabolism. They have key nutrients like Vitamins B12, D and E— to help fill nutritional gaps and support the most important parts of you.

Not all multi-vitamins are created the same. When I checked out the new Centrum® MultiGummies, I was happy to see that they are available in three natural flavors (Berry, Cherry, Orange), are gluten-free, use only natural colorants and do not contain any artificial sweeteners. You take 2 small gummies per day and they have a pleasant fruit flavor, not on that’s overly sweet.

I still try to get all my daily values of vitamins and minerals from what I eat, I feel confident now that if I don’t quite manage I can rely on Centrum® MultiGummies to help. On my busiest days, I can just toss the bottle in my bag and take my daily multi-vitamin when life slows down a little.

  1. I take a multivitamin everyday. No matter how well we eat, we can never get every single thing we need in a day.

  2. We actually all prefer gummy vitamins, kids and myself included. They are just a lot more fun to take! And they taste better too. lol.

  3. I’ve been taking a daily multivitamin for a few years now. Hard to say if it helps or not, but I like knowing I’m trying to get what I need!

  4. I’m quite certain that I don’t get all of my vitamins from my food.  I often eat on the run, or just polish off what my kids left on their plates.  Now that it’s summer, I tend to skip lunch just out of sheer forgetfulness.  I definitely need to try Centrum!

  5. I definitely prefer gummy vitamins! I’m much better about taking vitamins now because of them 🙂
