300 Best Casserole Recipes by Tiffany Collins is a great casserole cookbook. I love making casseroles because I can make them ahead of time and then heat them up for dinner when it’s time to eat. Casseroles can also be a great way to use up leftovers so they don’t go to waste. You can generally easily substitute one type of vegetable or meat for another if that happens to be what you have on hand. Sometimes I run out of ideas for new casseroles and I feel like I’m making the same thing all the time. I received a product for review. 300 Best Casserole Recipes
300 Best Casserole Recipes is a cookbook devoted entirely to casseroles from breakfast casseroles to dessert casseroles. Before looking at this cookbook, I never would have thought there actually could be 300 different types of casseroles but I was pleasantly surprised to find out there are. Recipes are broken down into Breakfast and Brunch, Appetizers, Hearty Vegetable and Pasta, Fish and Seafood, Pork, Beef and Lamb, Healthy Choices, Side Dishes, Kids Stuff, and Desserts.
Each recipe is featured on its own page for easy reading. There is a detailed ingredients list and easy to follow, numbered instructions. Many of the recipes also include helpful tips for substitutions or ways to improve the results. At the top of each recipe, it also tells you the size/type casserole dish that will be needed to prepare each recipe. I love this feature! I was also impressed with the selection of recipes included. There are some great kid favorites like Creamy Burger and Fries Bake along with casseroles that would be super for company dinners like the Cape Cod Casserole.
