Vegan Mexican Chocolate Pudding | Dairy Free Desserts
I don’t eat a lot of desserts but sometimes I just get a serious craving for chocolate. Since the holidays are right around the corner, I thought I would share this Vegan Mexican Chocolate Pudding recipe with you. Traditionally, Mexican Hot Chocolate has a bit of cinnamon in it. So, I have taken the idea of Mexican Hot Chocolate and turned it into this Vegan Mexican Chocolate Pudding recipe.
One of my favorite flavor combinations from when I was a child is chocolate and orange. I can remember loving the candied oranges dipped in chocolate fondue. I’ve taken a bit of a healthier twist on that old favorite by adding orange juice to this Vegan Mexican Chocolate Pudding recipe. If that’s not a flavor combination you enjoy, you can substitute a dash of real vanilla extract instead.
American Heritage Chocolate is an authentic historic line of products that is based on a recipe from the 1750s. It’s made with all natural ingredients and no preservatives. American Heritage Chocolate is an artisinal dark chocolate that contains 63% cacao. It’s mildly spicy and slightly sweet because it is flavored with a blend of spices and ingredients that were available during colonial times including cinnamon, nutmeg, chili pepper, orange, anise and vanilla.

It can be used in recipe replacing semi-sweet chocolate at a one to one ratio. American Heritage Chocolate is available in chocolate sticks, chocolate bites, chocolate blocks and finely grated chocolate drink.
