You know that you should be getting more sleep, but it’s hard to get the rest you need. Learn more about the benefits of CBD tea and how it may help.
After a long day at work or school, sometimes all we want is a quick way to relax and unwind. But if you’re like most people, your busy schedule makes it difficult to relax and unwind to get a full night of sleep.
Benefits of CBD Tea
CBD oil promotes a healthy night’s sleep and may help you sleep better. The benefits of adding CBD oil to herbal tea are many – from supporting your body, a more natural calming alternative, as well as helping overall health and wellness. Learn more about the benefits of CBD tea and how to prepare your own to relax before bed.
What Is CBD oil?
Cannabidiol (or CBD) is a chemical compound found in hemp. So, CBD has no psychoactive effects the way THC does, so it won’t get you high or stoned.
CBD oil is extracted from the leaves of the cannabis plant by steam distillation. The CBD oil produced by this process is then mixed with carrier oil to produce CBD oil.
How to take CBD oil
Many people choose to take CBD oil sublingually which means under the tongue. This allows for more rapid absorption in many cases. However, I prefer to take CBD oil in tea. It is absorbed more slowly. And, since I take it before bed to promote healthy sleep, I prefer it to last longer and be absorbed over a longer period.
A few drops in a cup of herbal tea before bedtime is an easy addition to your evening wellness routine.
If you prefer to take your CBD in another edible form, you can always try gummies. I often take a CBD gummy from Uncle Bud’s Hemp & CBD before bedtime to help me have a more restful night. They offer a variety of different CBD gummies including a multivitamin and energy gummy.
What Are The Benefits Of CBD Tea?
CBD tea is a great way to wind down after a stressful day. The calming properties of CBD oil may help you relax and improve your quality of sleep.
You can vary the benefits depending on which type of herbal tea you add it to. Chamomile is one of my favorites. But, it will also work with herbal teas like lavender, rose, or mint.
One of the reasons that I choose to enjoy my CBD oil in tea is that it is absorbed more slowly than if I used it sublingually. When you add it to tea (or any other food or beverage), it is absorbed through your digestive system. That takes more time and may make the effects last for a longer period of time. For those that are hoping to get a better night’s sleep, this is an important benefit.
You can also enjoy it with iced tea. Why not try it in my Rosehip and Hibiscus tea for a refreshing daytime treat.
Of course, you can still take your CBD under the tongue if you want to. Simply put the drops under your tongue and hold them in your mouth for 30 seconds. Then, swallow.
How To Make CBD Tea?
CBD tea is an easy way to get the benefits of CBD in your diet. It’s simple to prepare and can be enjoyed hot or cold depending on your preference. You can also add other ingredients like honey or lemon for added flavor if you’d like.
CBD tea is simple to make at home. It may be more economical than buying premade blends, especially if you buy your own ingredients in bulk to make larger batches of tea. You can also experiment with making different flavors based on what flavor additives you’d like to try. My elderflower tea would be wonderful with CBD oil
If you choose to make herbal tea in a larger batch, do not add the CBD oil until you serve it. Additionally, make sure that you refrigerate the tea for proper storage.
This is one of my favorite recipes.
- 1 teabag of 100 percent pure chamomile tea (or other tea flavors)
- 2-3 drops of Uncle Bud’s CBD oil (CBD dosage may vary depending on your preference, but typically 5 milligrams is a good starting point for most people.
To start enjoying the benefits of CBD tea, follow these steps.
- Add 1 chamomile tea bag to your cup or mug.
- Heat water in the kettle and bring it to a boil.
- Then, pour hot water over the teabag. This will help release the most beneficial properties found in chamomile flowers.
- Add 2-3 drops of Uncle Bud’s Hemp & CBD CBD oil to your finished cup of tea.
- Stir the ingredients together to combine. You can enjoy your CBD tea hot or cold, as desired.
Uncle Buds’ CBD Oil
I’ve been using Uncle Buds’ Hemp & CBD CBD Oils in my herbal tea before bed. They offer three different types so you can change up the flavor depending on which herbal tea you want to enjoy.
- Uncle Buds’ 1000mg CBD with 500mg Vitamin C (orange flavor)
- Uncle Buds’ 1000mg CBD with 50mg Elderberry (berry flavor)
- and, Uncle Buds’ 100mg CBD (original)
The orange and berry flavors are sweetened with stevia so they will not have an impact on your blood sugar. This is important for anyone following the Keto diet or those that are diabetic and watching their sugar intake. And, I love that I can change up the flavor of my chamomile tea depending on my mood.
Uncle Bud’s offers a variety of hemp and CBD products that are proudly made in the USA from hemp that is grown in the USA. And, they’ve been featured in places like Prevention, Men’s Health, and Fox.
