What Is CBD oil?
Cannabidiol (or CBD) is a chemical compound found in hemp. So, CBD has no psychoactive effects the way THC does, so it won’t get you high or stoned.
CBD oil is extracted from the leaves of the cannabis plant by steam distillation. The CBD oil produced by this process is then mixed with carrier oil to produce CBD oil.
How to take CBD oil
Many people choose to take CBD oil sublingually which means under the tongue. This allows for more rapid absorption in many cases. However, I prefer to take CBD oil in tea. It is absorbed more slowly. And, since I take it before bed to promote healthy sleep, I prefer it to last longer and be absorbed over a longer period.
A few drops in a cup of herbal tea before bedtime is an easy addition to your evening wellness routine.

When you add it to tea (or any other food or beverage), it is absorbed through your digestive system. That takes more time and may make the effects last for a longer period of time. Of course, you can still take your CBD under the tongue if you want to. Simply put the drops under your tongue and hold them in your mouth for 30 seconds. Then, swallow.
How To Make CBD Tea?
CBD tea is an easy way to get the benefits of CBD in your diet. It’s simple to prepare and can be enjoyed hot or cold depending on your preference. You can also add other ingredients like honey or lemon for added flavor if you’d like.
CBD tea is simple to make at home. It may be more economical than buying premade blends, especially if you buy your own ingredients in bulk to make larger batches of tea. You can also experiment with making different flavors based on what flavor additives you’d like to try. My elderflower tea would be wonderful with CBD oil
If you choose to make herbal tea in a larger batch, do not add the CBD oil until you serve it. Additionally, make sure that you refrigerate the tea for proper storage.
This is one of my favorite recipes.
- 1 teabag of 100 percent pure chamomile tea (or other tea flavors)
- 2-3 drops of Uncle Bud’s CBD oil (CBD dosage may vary depending on your preference, but typically 5 milligrams is a good starting point for most people.
To start enjoying the benefits of CBD tea, follow these steps.
- Add 1 chamomile tea bag to your cup or mug.
- Heat water in the kettle and bring it to a boil.
- Then, pour hot water over the teabag. This will help release the most beneficial properties found in chamomile flowers.
- Add 2-3 drops of Uncle Bud’s Hemp & CBD CBD oil to your finished cup of tea.
- Stir the ingredients together to combine. You can enjoy your CBD tea hot or cold, as desired.
