Would you like to save money on your health care costs? I know that we would! With the New Year, almost here, my husband and I have been evaluating our budget and our expenses. We’re hoping to be able to save a bit more money next year and our income has gone down from last year. That means that we need to tighten our belts in some areas to make the best of the money we have. Some of our expenses are fixed, like our mortgage, so we don’t have a lot of control over them. There are areas we can make a difference in and one of those is our health care costs.

It can be difficult to afford health care coverage. The uninsured population in the United States is over 47 million citizens. The average family spends about $4000 in out of pocket medical expenses every single year so I can certainly understand why health care coverage can be hard to afford. That number doesn’t even include underinsured Americans or those in high deductible health care plans.
SaveOnMedical has a website that helps satisfy the needs of price sensitive patients and provides extra value by highlighting the quality of the providers listed on SaveOnMedical. Not only do they provide this information, they also provide appointment booking and payment, all online. You simply enter your zip code and select the type of serve you need – like a mammogram or an X-Ray. Then select search providers and SaveOnMedical will bring up a list of providers in your area that provide this service. They even list their address information and how far they are from your location. When they have it, they list their hours of operation as well and the average pricing information in your area for the service you’re searching for. SaveOnMedical prices are generally a third of the cost of the average price in the region.
Right now, SaveOnMedical is in 20+ states and their most populated states are Florida and New York. Even in my rural area, I found providers listed for the services I searched for. If learning to save money on your health care costs next year is something you want to do, I definitely recommend that you try SaveOnMedical. Let them take the hassle out of finding the best costs on medical services.

Thanks for the info – we’re insured, but the idiots never cover anything!!! Wasted money!!
It is tough to save on medical expenses since insurance makes it hard to “shop around” most of the time… and not having insurance can limit you too. THis sounds like a very helpful resource though!
With the huge amount of money spent on health care, sites that give consumers more information on cost and quality will be in demand going forward. Patients are going to want a lot more information when making their decisions.
We’d love to hear what you all would want as far as additional information goes for making healthcare decisions. Anything that can make us better so that we can help our patients more would be wonderful. Feel free to let us know!
We have no health insurance right now so we are always cautious of getting sick etc. There are some things you have to have insurance for. I’m going to look into the site and see what it can offer my family. Thank you for writing about this. It is something that effects so many of us.
Good to know! Medical bills can be out of control! Even with insurance sometimes!!!
I’ll have to look into this. We’re currently uninsured.
Hi Emily! The worst part about shopping for care when you’re uninsured is trying to find real pricing. Let us know if we can help you with anything or answer any questions you might have!
That may very well be a great solution for us. We could always use some money saving help on medical costs.
