Did you ever have one of those goals that you seem to be stuck on? Do you wonder how to get unstuck? Maybe you were doing really well and then something happened to mess up your rhythm. Or, maybe you just haven’t been able to get started. I’ve felt like that for the past month or so on my health goals. I was doing really well exercising daily and being careful what I ate and then my routine changed. This blog post is brought to you by Unstuck Life Courses and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

How to Get Unstuck and Move Forward
When my son and his fiance moved back home a few months ago, I knew that there would be changes to adjust to. You don’t add two new people to your house without some sort of changes. There is more stuff in the house. There are more people to cook for. I’ve been trying to help them both find jobs in this area since they lived an hour away before and that’s too far to commute. All of this basically means less time for me, and that’s OK for now, but it has left me feeling like I can’t move forward with my health goals.
I really felt like I needed help getting back on track. Maybe it was a bit of motivation or some help changing the way I was thinking. Either way, I found a helpful website (and app) that are all about getting unstuck. Life Courses is a new online program that includes motivational videos, insightful exercises and downloadable worksheets that are designed to give people a personalized action plan to help improve their lives. You learn new approaches to tackling your problems and create habits that help you move forward.
I really like that this program isn’t set up like your traditional video course. I didn’t have to sit and watch an hour long video with someone telling me what I needed to do. I was never very successful with those. This course uses interactive exercises to help you get insight and learn new ways to make a change. Plus, it’s personalized and based on how the user gets stuck around making a change. That means that the course offers you suggestions that will work for you and not just a one size fits all approach.
This course includes a variety of different ways to interact including videos, audio, downloadable worksheets, interactive online exercises, personal stories, etc. Plus, each lesson is offered in small, bite-sized pieces so you can do them when you have time. You don’t have to devote an hour each day, you can choose to do 15 minutes if you’d like.
Life Courses is part of the Unstuck app, which launched in 2011 and is based on the belief that people get stuck all the time, in all parts of their lives. I know that’s certainly true for me. You can have unlimited access to the Life Courses for an entire year for only $49.99. It can help you with a variety of different problems all for that one low price. I definitely found that having a fresh perspective helped me get back on track.

I am for sure checking into this. Sounds like it could be useful for this point in my life.
It’s definitely helpful!
I like that Life Courses help motivate people to make changes and move forward. For me, anytime I find myself stuck in a rut, life as a way of placing me in life changing situation.
That’s definitely a good thing!
I’ve found that it isn’t survival of the fittest half as much as survival of the most flexible. For every bad thing my wife and I have been through, I attribute our strong marriage to our ability to adjust and move on.
Flexibility definitely does help!
I am definitely feeling a bit stuck right now, but I don’t think it has anything to do with me being resistant to change. I think it’s just that I have so much that’s about to take place (life changing events), so I am bracing myself for them to start taking place, yet at the same time I am impatient!!
It can be tough to be patient!
Sometimes it is easy to get stuck when it comes to health goals. Finding the motivation and energy for change can be tough!
I agree. This really helped!
