We are just a few days away from both kids going back to school. I can honestly say that I am in no way finished with getting all the back to college essentials on my list but thankfully I have made a great start with my recent shopping trip to Target.
Back to College Essentials
One of my big concerns about back to school time is staying healthy. Sarah has asthma so staying healthy and fighting off those germs is important. I try to encourage her to have a healthy lifestyle, eat right and get enough sleep but you know how college kids are. These Clorox Disinfecting Wipes I picked up will hopefully help get rid of germs too. I also picked up some Clorox Glass Wipes just in case she gets that urge to clean. I can hope, right?
To stay healthy, it’s really important to drink a lot of water. This Brita® Space Saver is perfect. It filters the tap water which makes it taste better and lets her NOT buy bottled water. The slim shape makes it the ideal size for a dorm room refrigerator. It still holds six cups of water and comes in a variety of fun colors. Neither of my kids enjoys water straight from the tap. After it’s been filtered, it just tastes better and having this Brita® Space Saver will definitely encourage her to drink more water. Plus, I got her a Brita® Hard Sided Water Bottle to take with her to class. It has a filter too so she won’t have to grab a bottled water or something unhleathy like soda or a sports drink when she wants a drink on the go. They had lots of cool designs and colors to choose from at Target.
Staying organized at college is really important. Both my kids have ADHD and organization is definitely not one of their strong points. We got a great wire organizer that will help keep things neat and organized. It has different compartments which will hopefully keep like things together.
While I was at Target, I saw a great deal on Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes so I made sure to pick up a few of them. These work so well for removing make up before bed or just freshening up on super hot days. I love all the new scents they have too. Acne is still something that Sarah has to deal with so these will definitely be appreciated.
Of course, a girl needs a little pampering as well so we picked up some nail polish and remover for a treat. We grabbed a few healthy snacks and some juice just in case she feels the need to snack when the cafeteria isn’t open. I was really impressed at all the things that are available at Target. What a great selection at really reasonable prices. I found just about all the back to college essentials I needed. Are you ready for back to school yet?
