With the new year, I know a lot of you want to achieve your health goals and so do I. I need to focus more on healthy living and eat more salads and less fast food. I know that will go a long way toward helping me feel better in the new year.

Achieve your health goals
I need to get more organized with my prescriptions and vitamins so I don’t run out. This is especially important because I manage my husband’s prescriptions. He is disabled and has a number of prescriptions that he takes each day. It can be challenging to keep up with the refill dates on all of them since they are all different.
This year, I am using the Walgreens Mobile App. This app is a simple way to achieve your health goals. I love Walgreens innovations! The app has a number of handy features I plan on using on my path toward being more healthy and organized.
- You can scan your Rx label to submit your prescription refill and then pick up at your local Walgreens pharmacy.
- Their pill reminder lets you set up helpful reminders on your phone to keep you on track so you don’t forget an important pill.
- Find Shopping Lists items fast with a store map. No more hunting through the store for a product on your list.
- Of course I want to save money on my vitamins too so I’m thrilled I can get exclusive mobile coupons and browse my local Weekly Ad.
Since saving money is something that’s important to me, I have also signed up for Walgreens Balance Rewards program. Signing up for the Balance Rewards program lets me save on sale items with my Balance Rewards card. I get 500 points for every prescription and immunization and earn points on thousands of items each week. Even better, they encourage me to exercise. I earn 10 points for every mile when I Walk with Walgreens. It makes me feel like I’m part of the Walgreens community. I can redeem my points instantly with as few as 5,000 points.
Since the flu seems to have invaded our home, today was the ideal time to head to Walgreens to stock up on some healthy living supplies like vitamins, cough drops, tissues, and acetominophene. As much as I hate being sick, I hate being unprepared when I’m sick even more especially when it’s one of the kids that is sick. Take a look at my whole shopping trip in my Google + album or watch the slideshow below. How will you achieve your health goals this year?

Yet another reason why I love Walgreens, they get it.
I really need to start checking out the mobile app scene a little more. I have been avoiding them like the plague. There are so many great ones out there now that I may be tempted to let down my reserves and download a few…. like this one maybe. I am the worst about remembering to pickup our prescriptions.
I want to try and get more physically active. Its hard for me with chronic pain but on my good days I’m going to make an effort.
I love those Balance Rewards and all the different ways to earn points. It makes saving so much easier!
Walgreens has really stepped it up with their upgrades to their bonus programs! Thanks for the great information. They are one of my fav drug stores to shop because it’s so close to my home and they often have so many great sales on items I use on a regular basis.
We love shopping at Walgreens. However, I never knew they offered things like this, I could really use refill reminders!
Thanks for the reminder! I need to download this app! I look forward to easier access to the pharmacy and for printing my photos!
Thanks for the additional info! I love Walgreens and apps. So the two together are pretty amazing! This will definitely make living healthier in the New Year more achievable.
I love shopping at Walgreens too! I never knew Burt’s had throat drops.
I am definitely trying to get healthier this year. Walgreens is right down the street so thanks for sharing!
