Win Mystery Case Files: Escape From Ravenhearst – hidden object games

Escape from Ravenhurst game

At the end of the day, I like to relax for an hour or so before I go to sleep. It lets me unwind and forget about whatever stress I’ve experienced that day. Sometimes I head to bed with a good book. Sometimes my husband and I watch a movie.  Sometimes I like to play hidden object games.  I love searching through old castles, abandoned gardens, and musty libraries in search of amazing treasure, spools of thread, a piece of pizza or a pirates cutlass. I could easily spend hours sitting there clicking on things looking for all the items on my list.

Hidden Object Games

Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst – hidden object games

The only thing I don’t like about playing online games is that you never really know what they are like until you buy them and download them.  I’ve purchased a few hidden object games in the past that have proven to be duds and it’s too late to find out you don’t like it after you have purchased it.  Big Fish Games let you play your games for an hour for FREE before you buy them.  That gives me the time I need to find out if the game is going to be too easy, too difficult or whether I’ll enjoy playing it. I really appreciate that they give customers that option.

I recently had the chance to try Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst. This was a real treat for me because I have played Mystery Case Files hidden object games from Big Fish in the past and they are one of my favorite hidden object games.  In this particular game, you find yourself at the haunted Ravenhearst Manor.  You need to solve the mystery of Ravenhearst Manor by finding clues.  You move your cursor around the screen and click on various things to either learn more about them, add them to your inventory, or use them.  You do not really move in the Mystery Case Files games.  You use your cursor to change screens but you don’t see yourself walking or running. There is however a ton of animation in the scene itself.  Ravens fly across the screen. Drops of rain fall, creaky doors open. Lightning flashes. The ghost talks to you (either with sound or subtitles).

Of course, there is more to the game than just finding things. As you progress through each level, there are a variety of different puzzles you need to solve to find hidden clues and progress to the next level.  Thank heavens there are hints to the game because some of these can be tough. There are several different types of games. Sometimes they are card games. There are puzzles where you have to get from point A to point B. Sometimes you have to move things around so they match, etc.  Some are more challenging then others but they definitely take some time to work through. This is definitely one of my very favorite Ravenhearst games yet! This game download (PC) normally retails for $9.99 but remember you can download the trial version for free and play for an hour!

Two of my lucky readers are going to win a download code to download Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst from Big Fish Games.
