Banana Pineapple Coconut Smoothie Recipe
Protein makes you feel full longer and since I generally get the urge to snack mid-morning, a protein smoothie is a great way to snack healthy that will fill you up until lunchtime. This tropical protein smoothie recipe is easy to make and gives you a Vitamin C boost from the pineapple as well.
Smoothies are fun to make because you can really be very flexible with them. I adjust the fruit I add to my smoothies depending on what I have in the refrigerator that needs to be used up. Today I had bananas and pineapple so that’s the base of this tropical protein smoothie recipe. This is perfect for college students looking for a healthy college breakfast.
What is the best protein for smoothies?
The protein comes from Greek yogurt. Please don’t substitute regular yogurt because it doesn’t have the same levels of protein and won’t do nearly as good a job as if you used Greek yogurt. I added organic plain Greek yogurt. You could add flavored Greek yogurt but don’t get the kind with artificial ingredients. You want to start the morning off with a healthy smoothie.
Taking a break mid-morning to take care of myself and recharge is a great way to ensure I make it through the day. I try to take an hour or so to recharge a few times a day to make sure I don’t burn out.
What are the benefits of banana and pineapple smoothie?
A banana and pineapple smoothie is packed with health benefits. Bananas provide energy and potassium, essential for nerve function and heart health. Pineapples, rich in vitamin C, boost your immune system. They also contain bromelain, a digestive enzyme. Together, these fruits make a smoothie that is not only tasty but also promotes good health.
