“Show my Photos” on the Biggest Screen in Your Home

Last Updated on September 4, 2020 by Ellen Christian

Lately, I’ve been wondering how to show my photos off. I love taking photos of nature, the gorgeous scenery around our home or places that I visit when I travel. But, all too often, the photos just stay on my phone or in my Prime photo account. What’s the point of taking photos if no one can see them? Thanks to Amazon for sponsoring this post.

Now, I can show my photos and play a slideshow of my albums on the Amazon Fire TV, just by asking Alexa. Amazon customers can view and search for their photos and photo albums with the Alexa Voice Remote and the Prime Photos app on their Fire TV. Prime members can also search for people, places, and things, with phrases like, “show photos of dogs,” “show photos of Wyoming,” or “show photos of Jane.”

This is a great addition to what you can already do with Prime Photos on your Fire TV. Check out more ways to use the Prime Photos Fire TV app here, hint: you can even change your screensaver. If that wasn’t enough, all Prime members get unlimited photo storage, as well as 5 GB digital storage for other files and videos. Now, you can relax on your living room couch and flip through your photos and personal videos on the biggest screen in your home using your Alexa Voice Remote.

Prime Photos helps keep your photos right at your fingertips, wherever you are. Keep your photos safe while you free up space on your devices when you store your photos online with the free Prime Photos apps.

Like Amazon Fire TV, the Echo Show can showcase all the photos in your Prime Photos account, with voice commands like, “Alexa, show my photos.” In fact, all the same commands work with Echo Show – just add “Alexa” to the beginning of each one.

Did you know that Prime membership includes unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos and 5 GB digital storage for videos and files? All US Amazon customers receive 5 GB free digital storage for photos, videos, and files.

The Amazon Fire Stick is a great way to be able to enjoy your photos on your television. I love it when people visit and they can enjoy the photos I’ve taken rather than keeping them hidden on my phone. Of course, the Fire TV Stick also lets me enjoy Pandora, Netflix, CBS News, and over 5000 channels, apps, and games.

  1. Yep it's the travel photos that I'd love to see at just a voice command. My sister so needs this since she is techy and has so many vacation photos she keeps promising to share. What a good organization tool too.

  2. I'm most excited to see photos from trips we've taken, vacation photos of things we've forgotten about. Photos are a good way to refresh the memory!
