We always have lots of zucchini, green onions, carrots, and broccoli available during the summer. Sometimes, using them all up can be challenging, but stir-fry is a fast, healthy meal that you can make using whatever fresh garden produce you have that week.

You can create a stir-fry using whatever meat you happen to have on hand. I’ve used chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp, and love them all. The sauce you use may be slightly different, but you can use almost any vegetable combination you like.

To save time in the kitchen, I’ve been using Lee Kum Kee Sauce for Korean BBQ Stir-Fry. This recipe makes 4 to 6 servings and is ready in minutes. I love that it has no high fructose corn or artificial flavoring. Plus, it’s a product of the USA.

If you have chicken you’d like to use instead, you can try their Sauce for Honey Sesame Chicken which tastes great with fresh bell peppers. Both dishes can be enjoyed alone or served with rice.

How do you make stir fry beef more tender?

Preheat the pan first. And, be sure that you are using high heat. Add a little bit more oil. And, don’t overfill the pan. You want it to cook quickly. Too much in the pan will slow down the cooking time and make the meat tough.

Be sure to use a non-stick cook pan. I really love using a wok for this recipe. You can find a pretty good selection at Walmart.

Using the Panda Brand sauce means that you don’t need to worry about making your own sauce. It’s a great shortcut for busy nights when you’re rushed for time.

What can I use as a natural meat tenderizer?

I avoid traditional meat tenderizers because they can contain ingredients I’m not fond of. Instead, you can marinate your beef in pineapple juice. That will help to make your meat tender naturally.

Tips from My Kitchen

Lee Kum Kee makes it easy to prepare authentic Asian food at home. My family enjoys being able to have their favorite Asian dishes, and I’m glad I can create them at home instead of ordering takeout.

Summer is the perfect time to make your favorite stir-fry recipe because there are so many fresh vegetables. But, you can enjoy it inexpensively in the winter too by shredding fresh carrots and adding frozen broccoli instead of fresh.

  1. That BBQ stir fry looks so good. My family loves Asian flavors like this, and the fact that it's so easy to make is a big plus for me with the huge family and cramped schedule that I have.

  2. I'd love to try these, some of my homemade stir fry sauces have been pretty shaky! I don't want to take any chances when I'm making up a big batch for multiple people. It looks delish! and now I'm hungry!

  3. I've downloaded many free international recipe ebooks, in the hopes of getting more motivated to try different cultural foods. My mom cooked the same meat and potato type dishes since that's what my dad preferred. We ate it or we didn't eat! I found I enjoy trying any Asian foods, minus the sodium factor though.
