John Deere Party Ideas

Here in Vermont, we have a lot of farms and a lot of corn fields. Of course, you cannot have a farm without a John Deere tractor. You just can’t.

I love themed party foods but I get tired of the typical cakes and cupcakes sometimes.  I want something a little bit lighter but still fun to make and serve.

There are so many different reasons you might want to have a tractor party. You could use that as a theme for any summer picnic or family get together.

Or, you can throw one of the kids or your husband a John Deere party for their birthday. It’s a great choice for anyone that loves tractors, farm life or country living.

John Deere Party Ideas Color Theme

Of course, John Deere tractors are green with yellow and black so you’ll want to get tablecloths, napkins, flatware, and decorations in that color theme.

You can go with solid colors or you can purchase tableware with a John Deere design.

John Deere Party Ideas Decorations

What better as a party decoration than miniature tractors and farm animals? You can also add a few hay bales around your party area provided it’s being held outside.

Remember that a few Mason jars full of sunflowers will work wonderfully as a centerpiece. You could always suggest everyone dress up in overalls if you think they’d go for it.

John Deere Party Food Ideas

Nothing says country to me like ice cold lemonade in a Mason jar drinking glass. You can also do a barbecue and offer guests steaks, grilled chicken, kebabs and farm fresh roasted vegetables.

Don’t forget the corn on the cob. These Paleo Honey Grilled Chicken Tenders would be perfect.

We used green paper cups as the “stalk” to hold our homemade popcorn balls. Using a popcorn ball maker makes the process much simpler.

John Deere Party Games

Of course, any party needs a few good games to get people in the mood.  If your party is for younger children, why not collect cardboard boxes before the party and provide green, yellow, and black paint for them to make their own tractors.

Children of all ages can enjoy a bean bag toss. Just make a green cardboard tractor or red barn and cut holes for people to toss bean bags through.

  2. I love the theme and how you incorporated popcorn balls.  This recipe sounds delish, I need to try this and hopefully sneak some cranberries and raisins into my boys diet.
