If you’re searching for gum health tips, I have a few things that you can do to help improve your oral care. Your gum health is important to your oral health, but often gets overlooked. Small changes like bleeding gums or tenderness when you brush can be symptoms of a larger problem. Healthy teeth are usually a sign of a good oral care routine.

Gum Health Tips

We all want a healthy, beautiful smile but if you’re anything like me, you don’t always take the time you should in order to keep up with your oral care. It’s tempting when you’re busy to skip flossing or just do a quick brush of your teeth. But, you really do need to slow down and give oral care your full attention by following a few of these tips.

Brush twice a day

Mornings are busy for most people so it’s tempting not to brush twice a day. But, it only takes two minutes out of your morning to do a good job on your teeth. Then, follow up in the evening before bed and brush again. Remember to use a fluoride toothpaste to help prevent cavities.

Remember to floss

This is something I struggle with but it’s so important to remove food and plaque from between your teeth and where your toothbrush cannot reach. Ideally, you should floss at least twice a day, each time you brush. And, it’s easy to add dental floss to your bag to use on the go.

Quit smoking

Did you know that smoking has been linked to gum disease according to the Center for Disease Control? Since smoking weakens your immune system, it also makes it harder to fight off gum infections.

Change your toothbrush

Changing your toothbrush regularly can help prevent bacteria from being re-introduced into your mouth. Replace your toothbrush (or brush head if you use an electric toothbrush) every three to four months.

Detox your gums

It’s not easy to get down under your gums when you brush but that is often where bacteria hide. Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste is a specially formulated paste with Activated Foam technology that reaches below the gum line to significantly improve gum health, leading to clinically proven healthier gums. The new paste has superior technology to neutralize harmful bacteria, even below the gum line.

Crest Gum Detoxify goes around, and even below the gum line for lasting gum protection. It seeks out bacteria by penetrating hard to reach places and gently cools gums during and after brushing. It’s available in Deep Clean, Extra Fresh, Gentle Whitening and Two-Step varieties. You can find it in drugstores, mass retailers, and eCommerce sites nationwide.

To help consumers detoxify their gums, Sam’s Club will be featuring an awesome deal on the Crest Gum Detoxify Toothpaste 4-pack where club members will receive $2 off between now and June 6th. With Sam’s Club already existing discount, this brings each tube of Crest Gum Detoxify down to $4.50/tube in comparison to the average retail price of $6.97/tube.
