This pasta with peas and bacon is the perfect answer to what should I make for dinner. It’s a frugal main dish recipe that can be made with either fresh, frozen, or canned peas.

What is pasta with peas and bacon called?

I’m not sure that this dish has a specific name. There is a pasta with peas and bacon recipe that’s called spaghetti carbonara but that has spaghetti instead of the ditalini used here. And, it has a carbonara sauce that this recipe does not use. And, if you want to be a purist, pancetta is often used rather than regular bacon.

So, if you’re looking for pasta with peas and pancetta or bacon, this recipe is not that version. Instead, this pasta with peas has a lemony parmesan sauce that’s absolutely delicious. I hope you’ll try it.
